Waveney Partnership TV Offer
“A Moment Of Fame!”

Waveney Partnership TV are offering organisations the opportunity to have a moment of fame transmitted on the ten plasma screens located in Waveney. Any organisation wishing to promote a key, local message or community event, relevant to the time of year will be eligible. A film crew will be allocated to the organisation to shoot the clip in January. Simply send in your details with a brief outline of your proposal by the 30th November 2009.

Waveney Partnership TV was launched to provide a community television network to Waveney, broadcasting useful local information. It also ensures that all partners, both statutory and voluntary, have an opportunity to showcase their key initiatives and provide information relevant to local people. The scheme is supported by The Waveney Strategic Partnership.

Annette Bowler WPTV Coordinator said “This imitative has been developed not only to raise awareness of the remit of the plasma screens but, also of the local Waveney Community. It is aimed at using local faces that the community will recognise. That the word of mouth will increase awareness of the screens and their locations, highlighting the WPTV screen content. It is a great opportunity for any local community organisation to raise their profile and work together in partnership.”

Waveney organisations are also invited to send in their future events and filming ideas to place in the WPTV schedule for 2010. Organisations can also promote their local events using posters on the plasma screens. Posters must contain no more than a maximum of 35 characters.

The plasma screens venues include Asda, Morrison’s and Tesco supermarkets, Lowestoft College, Waveney Sports & Leisure, Oulton Village Medical Centre, Adventure Island Play Park, Palmers Department Store, the Andaman Surgery and in the new year The Kirkley Centre, the new premises for Waveney Community Forum.

Make WPTV local to you and have a “Moment of Fame” transmitted across Waveney.
