Roughcast have recruited a fresh production team for their latest show Tis Pity She’s A Whore comprising of producer Emma Martin who has recently graduated from Warwick university with a degree in Theatre studies and professional actor Mark Finbow in the director’s chair.
The main story arc of the play focuses on teenage love affairs and Roughcast’s version is definitely accessible and enjoyable for a teenage audience. Its a perfect chance for a younger generation to get to grips with the revenge tragedy without alienating a more traditional audience.
Tis Pity is a classic of the genre and has been produced by every major theatre company of the twentieth century and has been hailed not only as John Ford’s finest play but as one of the greatest revenge tragedies of all time.
Roughcast have brought in a talented young cast to join the company’s regular actors and together a vibrant new dynamic of storytelling has blossomed.
