Recent research shows that being accredited with green credentials is becoming more and more important to your customers, with a whopping 47% of travellers taking eco-friendly factors into account when booking their holiday.*

To help you achieve a beneficial GTBS accreditation, we will pay the Application Fees for a limited number of local businesses. This offer is on a first come, first served basis and will only be awarded to businesses who are successful in gaining a GTBS accreditation.

As an added incentive, our marketing and PR agency, Norwich based Communicate Marketing, will also provide £100 of FREE marketing support to help you promote your business**.

What types of businesses can apply?

  • Accommodation Providers – including serviced accommodation ( Hotel, B&B’s, Guest Houses, etc.), self catering, hostels, and holiday parks
  • Visitor Attractions
  • Activity providers – including boat and cycle hire operators
  • Food and Retail – including cafés, restaurants and shops
  • Others – Corporate offices, tourist information centres, conference and event venues

Why are we doing this?  

One of the Boudicca Way project’s key objectives is to promote and encourage sustainable tourism and support suitable South Norfolk businesses to gain a GTBS accreditation. As some of you will know, 2013 is the last year of the current funding for the Boudicca Way project, so we have allocated some of the funds to help businesses, such as yours, gain this worthwhile green accreditation.

How can you find out more about the GTBS?

If you wish to apply, here’s what you need to do

  • Download the application form or call 01738 632162 for more information.
  • Then please tell us immediately that  you have applied by emailing [email protected] and keep us informed on how it goes. We’ll be in touch with regards to refunding your Application Fee.

** Terms &Conditions:

  • We will refund one Application Fee of £62.50 (plus VAT if the business is not VAT registered) per business provided we have been notified by 1st May 2013 that the business has applied, or intends to apply, for GTBS membership.
  • Refunds will be processed on receipt of an invoice from the business along with evidence of payment of the Application Fee and successful accreditation with GTBS provided this is received by 1st August 2013.
  • To be eligible businesses must fall within the Waveney Valley area of South Norfolk and North Suffolk.
  • Funding is limited and will be allocated on a first come, first served basis. On receipt of notification that you would like to take advantage of this offer we will advise if funding is available but payment will only be made after successful accreditation.
  • Free marketing support of £100 excludes VAT and must be taken within 3 months of any successful application.
