Great Expectations

by Charles Dickens

a new adaptation by Nick Ormerod & Declan Donnellan

directed by Amy Wyllie

The Theatre Royal Summer School brings some of Dickens’ best-loved characters to life. From the haunting and tragic Miss Havisham, to the cruel Estella and the jolly and charming Herbert Pocket, this adaptation lays bare a tissue of lies and guilt in what must be one of literature’s least sentimental love stories.
