An exhibition showing the effect of the War on the people of Aylsham will be at the Heritage Centre, St Michael’s Churchyard, Market Place, Aylsham NR11 6EH from 13 August to 10 November. The exhibits cover the years in Aylsham from mobilisation on 4th August 1914 through to the Peace celebrations in Aylsham in 1919.

Entry to the Heritage Centre is free. During the exhibition the Heritage Centre will continue to provide its usual services, including free access to more than 3000 photographs from the Town Archives.

The Heritage Centre is open:

Mondays 10.30-13.00

Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays 10.30-15.30

First and third Saturdays 10.30-13.00

In conjunction with Aylsham Local History Society, we are pleased to present an exhibition to commemorate 100 years since the start of WW1. The exhibition will be in St Michael’s church and the Heritage Centre from August 4th – 11th and then in the Heritage Centre until the end of November.
