Philip-AllwoodTV antiques expert Philip Allwood will be appearing at the Wayland Agricultural Show on Sunday 4th August 2013 offering visitors the chance to find out if their family heirloom is trash or treasure.

One of the highlights of the bumper day of events going on at the Lifestyle Marquee, Philip will be doing valuations on items brought in before 11:30am so visitors without an eye for antiques can soak up his knowledge at one of his presentations during the day.

Philip Allwood comments: “I am so glad to be back in Norfolk using my knowledge to help visitors at this year’s Wayland Show. I am really looking forward to seeing what hidden treasures I uncover!”

Born locally, Philip began his career in the region with Noel D. Abel, the founder of Abel’s of Watton. Since then he has gone on to be a partner in Moore Allen & Innocent, a top auction house in the Cotswolds.  Philip is used to valuing under pressure as he frequently appears on Antiques Road Trip, Bargain Hunt, Flog it!, Beat the Dealer and Dickinson’s Real Deal.

Graham Shingfield, Chairman of the Wayland Agricultural Show comments: “We are very lucky to have Philip Allwood attending this year’s show, and supporting the many worthy causes the show raises money for. His presence is certain to be a big draw for visitors. ”

Philip’s valuation is one of the many attractions at the Wayland Agricultural Show this year. Look out for traditional agricultural entertainment like the Mid Norfolk Gun Dogs, livestock competitions and a host of marquees and tents offering food, shopping, and competitions.
