Over 100 passengers travelled yesterday, Sunday 21st October on the 1220hrs Dereham to Norwich service operated by East Midlands Trains [EMT].

The Mid-Norfolk Railway’s first Multiple Units weekend was a great success, marking the first through train services from Dereham to Norwich since 1969, and being the last passenger trains to be signalled off the Branch by Wymondham Signal Box, which is due to be de-commissioned in December.

Speaking of the event, Derek Orr, Commercial Manager said………..”It was great to see so many people turn out to ride on the weekends services. We are grateful to East Midlands Trains and the volunteer crews for their support and providing this service. You can ride on our Railcars on the line between Dereham and Wymondham until November 4th, we are open everyday during the half term except Monday, and accompanied children are only £1”
