We’re feeling ‘seasonal’ (should that be ‘chilly’?) here at the Anteros Arts Foundation, because next Wednesday is the start of our busy handmade craft fair! From Wednesday through to Saturday there will be loads of unique crafters in attendance with all sorts of quality products for sale. Do we really need to point out that these would make the perfect Christmas gift for someone special? On Saturday we have not one but two choirs singing carols in our courtyard, featuring choristers from Norwich Cathedral – and Father Christmas himself will be giving presents to the little ones from 11.30-12.30, and 2.30-3.30pm. Plus the usual mince pies, roast chestnuts and mulled wine.

The following week sees the start of the annual East Anglian Schools Portrait Prize. This popular exhibition showcases the artistic talents of our region’s youngsters, and the winner is going to receive £100. Guest judge this year is Caroline Jarrold. There is an opening event on Thursday 6th December when you can also hear a special presentation on going to art school, and how to apply. If you have a talented under 19 year old under your roof, there is still time to enter. Paintings must be delivered by Thursday 29th November.

Did I mention that we sell gift vouchers for all of our courses? From £60 you could give someone the chance to try ceramics, painting, printmaking, stained glass, life drawing…. just give us a call on 01603 766 129 for more details.
