Classic ibiza with ministry of sound announce winners of track poll

Winning tracks to be performed live by the Urban Soul Orchestra and DJ Goldierocks at Blickling Estate on 10 August

Classic Ibiza’s Facebook followers were given the unique opportunity over Easter to vote for their favourite dance tracks to be added to the set-list at this summer’s concert in the delightful grounds of Blickling on Friday 10 August. Held in association with dance music pioneers Ministry of Sound, Classic Ibiza promises to be Norfolk’s biggest open-air celebration of dance music in 2018. The concert is due to sell-out long in advance, so if you are planning to attend it is advisable to get your tickets sooner rather than later.

The concert organisers were inundated with responses, with a staggering 10,403 votes being cast! The winning tracks are:

Out of Space (The Prodigy)

Hey Boy, Hey Girl (The Chemical Brothers)

Free (Ultra Naté)

Touch Me (Rui Da Silva, ft. Cassandra)

Rhythm Of The Night (Corona)

Performed by The Urban Soul Orchestra (USO), DJ Goldierocks and a host of live vocalists, the Classic Ibiza set-list already includes some of the most iconic dance tunes dating back to the 90s. The evening starts with a chill-out set where people can enjoy their picnics and a drink, or dance along as the sun fades. Then DJ Goldierocks will turn things up in the interval, getting the crowd into the mood before the orchestra and vocalists return to the stage to bring a vibrant atmosphere to the summer evening. One classic dance track will follow another, as the delightful setting of Blickling turns into a magical, alfresco celebration, with accompanying lasers. If that’s not enough, the Blickling audience will be treated to an exclusive special guest vocal performance from one of dance music’s biggest names.

USO has performed and recorded with a veritable who’s who in the dance music industry, including Nightmares On Wax, Groove Armada, Ultra Naté, Octave One, Full Intention, Soul II Soul, Robert Miles, Sonique and Spiller.

Stephen Hussey, founder and conductor of USO, commented:

“All of the winning tracks helped to create truly incredible moments in dance music’s long history. It’s great to see that the Classic Ibiza audience has such great taste!

“We are really excited by the prospect of adding our unique twist to the arrangements and allowing the Blickling audience to witness the tracks that they voted for being performed by a full orchestra in this beautiful outdoor setting. It’s going to be an incredible evening – roll on the summer.”

In addition to the amazing tunes and artists, what really sets Classic Ibiza apart is that it is a concert for all the family. Set in the delightful outdoor setting of Blickling, concert goers can bring their own food and drink, or take advantage of numerous stalls selling high-quality street-food and refreshments. Car-parking is free (both for coaches and cars), so whether you are six or 60, you are assured of having a fantastic evening in a safe and family-friendly environment.

USO has released “Classic Ibiza”, an album of iconic dance anthems. It features many of the tracks being played on the night and is available on CD and all major music websites and apps.

Tickets: Adults: £39.50. Children (aged 5 –16): £17.50. Under 5s: free.
