Colmans Mustard Shop Museum Macarons

The popular tourist attraction, owned by Norwich’s Heritage Economic and Regeneration Trust (HEART), has collaborated with MasterChef runner-up Tim Kinnaird of Macarons and More in Norwich’s Royal Arcade to produce exclusive mustard and chocolate macarons for the occasion. The macarons will have a mustard and chocolate filling, inspired by Colman’s Mustard Shop & Museum’s exclusive mustard chocolate bar, which is sandwiched between two lemon-flavoured meringues. Colman’s Mustard Shop & Museum will be giving a free macaron to the first 200 people that enter the shop and museum, to reflect 200 years of Colman’s in Norwich. There is no obligation to spend – simply visit the Colman’s Mustard Shop & Museum on Wednesday 16th July (open 10am-5pm) and enjoy a free celebratory macaron whilst stocks last!

Jeremiah Colman, the mustard magnate, was born in 1777 on 16th July. An entrepreneur, Jeremiah started his business at the age of 37 when he purchased a mustard and flour mill South of Norwich in Stoke Holy Cross. A philanthropist, Jeremiah took his adopted nephew James into partnership, and offered a range of opportunities for workers, including schooling for their children or young employees, a clothing club and leisure activities.
