Life-long local AC/DC fan, Steve Chapman, has been busy not only organising his friends in the formation of a much-awaited brand new tribute band to AC/DC but also he’s been lovingly re-producing the band’s iconic image in the form of a large black cannon for a stage prop.

“The prop will add a certain something to evoke the whole AC/DC atmosphere” said a Hall spokesperson after Alan Lyall, the volunteer Hall photographer, met Steve at the Beccles Public Hall recently to take publicity shots.

Catch this band: Let There Be RO/CK – their tribute to AC/DC on Saturday 5 May, support band at 7.45pm, doors open at 7pm.

Joining drummer Steve on stage will be Leonne Lambert, lead vocals, Andy Love, Lead Guitar, Tony Hardy, Rhythm Guitar and Paul Hardy, Bass Guitar.

“Supporting the tribute band will be Lowestoft band, Zipfel’s Barber – a four-piece band who will play from 7.45pm to 8.30pm. From 9pm to 11pm expect a solid wall of AC/DC numbers – a clever mix of the earlier Bon Scott era songs plus Brian Johnson era material. The Hall volunteers are really grateful to everyone involved as they offer a fantastic alternative night out for all hard rock lovers in the area!” said a Hall spokesperson.

Tickets are £9 for Concessions and £10 for Adults and are available from the Box Office, open Monday to Saturday, 10am – 3pm, by ringing 01502 770060 or by visiting www.becclespublichall.co.uk
