Christmas Craft Workshops 2012

Fairhaven Woodland and Water Garden at South Walsham is staging a series of Craft Workshops in the run up to Christmas. Learn how to decorate Christmas cupcakes, make Christmas figure cake toppers, paint illuminated letters and create a topiary tree using material from the garden.

Christmas Cupcake Decorating, Tuesday, December 11, 10.30am to 12.30pm, £14 per person, decorate four Christmas cupcakes to take home in a ribboned gift box. All materials supplied including an apron, mince pie refreshments and fact sheets.

Christmas Figures, Tuesday, December 11, 1pm to 3pm, £14 per person; learn how to hand model Christmas figure cake toppers and take home up to six figures on an iced board. All materials supplied including an apron, mince pie refreshments and fact sheets.

Painting Illuminated Letters, Wednesday, December 12, 10am to 3.30pm, £30 per person plus £2.50 for materials. Bring a paintbrush size 1 or 0 and a palette, no previous experience necessary, mince pie refreshments included.

Topiary Trees, Friday, December 14 and Saturday, December 15, 1.30pm start, £20 per person. Make a stunning topiary tree using fresh foliage and natural materials from the garden, bring secateurs, mince pie refreshments included.

Fairhaven Woodland and Water Garden is at South Walsham, nine miles east of Norwich, signposted off A47 at B1140 junction. The garden is open daily all year (closed Christmas Day). There is wheelchair access throughout the garden, including a Sensory Garden. Visitors requiring special facilities should telephone in advance; mobility scooters available. Dogs are welcome on leads; small charge to cover poop scoop. Free entry to tearoom, gift shop and plant sales.
