It’s Fairhaven Woodland and Water Garden’s annual Star Night on Saturday, February 10 from 7pm, in partnership with Norwich Astronomical Society, whose astronomers will have their telescopes set up ready to interpret the night sky.

The evening also features a talk by Mark Thompson, the People’s Astronomer: ‘The Four Biggest Questions about the Universe.’

Tickets are £3.50 adult, £2.50 child and free to Fairhaven members . Please book in advance via www.fairhavengarden.co.uk, t. 01603 2704409. Limited spaces on the door.

Do bring your own telescope and wrap up warm, but no torches please, it destroys night vision. Hot food, tea, coffee and cake will be available in the tearoom.

Head to Fairhaven throughout half-term for two special families activities, Signs of Spring and Design a Den Week, from Saturday, February 10, to Sunday, February 18, 10am to 4pm daily.

Explore the garden looking for signs of spring and while you are there head to the den building area, design your own den, photograph your creation and post it on Fairhaven’s facebook page, to be in with a chance of winning a family membership for a year.

Both activities are included in the garden entry charge, adult £6.85, concessions £6.60, children £3.95 and free to Fairhaven members and under 5s.
