Christmas starts now! Bring all the family to RSPB Minsmere nature reserve throughout November for a series of festive events. We are holding a Christmas shopping taster, our annual Christmas fair, and a fantastic day of carols and craft.

At the Christmas shopping taster on Wednesday 9 November, 2 pm to 6 pm, visitors will have the chance ask the experts about everything from binoculars to bird food. It gives you an opportunity to try out the ethically made toiletries and food products on offer, and find out about Good Natured Gifts; virtual gifts that help the environment.

On Saturday 19 and Sunday 20 November we’re holding our annual Christmas fair from 9 am to 4 pm. It’s the perfect place to find gifts that are a little bit different, and just the thing for all your nature loving family and friends. Once again there will be experts on hand to answer questions about garden products, optics, and more. There will also be stalls with locally crafted gifts, jewellery and art. Bring the kids along to take part in a Christmas themed treasure trail!

We’ll be feeling really festive on Saturday 26 and Sunday 27 November as choirs from local schools and groups join us for a sing-a-long from 10 am to 4 pm. There will be traditional carols and other merry music to enjoy, and why not visit the tearoom for a tasty mince pie?

RSPB Minsmere Retail Manager, Heather Carroll, said, “Come and enjoy your Christmas shopping in a relaxing and beautiful environment. Why not get a gift RSPB membership for your family or friends?

“Our staff are happy to help you choose the right gifts, and at our Christmas taster you can try our palm oil free, UK made range of Skinny Dipper toiletries, and sample ethically made RSPB chocolates and fudge. 100% of the profits go to nature conservation projects, so you’ll know you’re really making a difference this Christmas.”

Entry to visitor centre and activities are free, but normal reserve fees apply if you want to use the nature trails.
