Diss Art Group, Embroiderers, Spinners, Weavers and Dyers have joined with Diss Museum for an exhibition entitled Friends in High Places.
On the bicentenary of Thomas Manning’s journey to meet the Dalai Lama, the groups have created work inspired by the festival.
The free exhibition is at the Stables Gallery, next to the Corn Hall, for the week beginning Monday 4 July 2011.
Hear about the reality of life in Tibet today under Chinese rule when Sonam Frasi, a former member of the Tibetan Parliament-in-Exile, speaks at Diss Corn Hall at 7.30pm on Friday 15 July 2011. Tickets £5. Box office (01379) 652241.
