Cllr Graham Plant, the leader of Great Yarmouth Borough Council, said: “The planned sale of the Great Yarmouth Port Company to new investors, following recent expansion, reflects confidence in the current and future growth prospects of the business and the wider borough.

“Great Yarmouth is a global energy sector capital and the port and Outer Harbour, as the centre of these operations, represent a huge business opportunity, including in the new, growing areas of decommissioning and offshore wind.

“The borough council would seek to work with any new owner to help ensure the borough is best placed to benefit from any job opportunities that arise.”
