Spring has almost sprung and to celebrate the Halesworth and District Riding Club (HDRC) is encouraging a big equestrian spring clean by holding a table top tack sale on Tuesday 30th March 2010. The sale gives local horse owners the chance to make some money from all their unwanted horsey bits and bobs and gives the Club a chance to raise some funds to help them run their shows this season. Why not tidy up your tack room, turf out all those unwanted rugs, girths, bits and other equestrian paraphernalia and bring them along to the sale? Remember it’s a great place to pick up some bargains too – what someone else doesn’t want could be exactly what you are looking for!
Local Juddpurs Saddlery, who have recently moved from Beccles to Halesworth, have already booked a stall at the sale and will be offering masses of clearance items from the saddlery at bargain prices. What’s more they have generously offered to donate 50% of the proceeds they make on the night to HDRC.
Bob Judd, proprietor of Juddphurs Saddlery said: “We decided to have a clear out to make way for some new stock and the HDRC table top sale is perfect timing for the Juddpurs spring clean. HDRC is our local Club and has worked so hard to make such a success of its first year in operation that we feel they deserve some extra special support. We are pleased to offer 50% of our proceeds from the sale to help them with running costs this season.”
The table top tack sale will be held at Huntingfield Village Hut at 7pm on Tuesday 30th March 2010. It costs just £3 to book a table if you’ve got things to sell or £1 for admission of you would just like to come and buy. There’ll be a great tea and cake stall for those in need of refreshments and the Huntingfield Arms is just over the road if you want to persuade your partner to come along. Tuesday night is Quiz Night at the pub with a special meal deal available but it’s advisable to book in advance.
