Our next concert is on October 20th 2012 at 7:30pm in St Mary’s Church, Halesworth, and is our contribution to the Halesworth Arts Festival.

The main work is the extraordinary “Messa di Gloria” written by the young Puccini , and for many years overlooked as his operas became – and remain – so popular. We are presenting it with two fine young soloists from the Royal Academy of Music, and with “two hands on one keyboard” piano accompaniment.

As an appetizer we offer two old favourites from the opera repertoire: the opening chorus from Smetana’s “The Bartered Bride”, and the chorus of the Hebrew Slaves from Verdi’s “Nabucco”.

It is going to be a moving occasion. Do come.

Tickets at £13.50 from the Festival box office (01986874264), online via the HAF website, or on the door.
