Madonna tribute artist
Tasha Leaper, the UK’s leading Madonna tribute artist, is performing at Beccles Public Hall.

Audiences at Beccles Public Hall are being encouraged to ‘Get into the Groove’ with the UK’s leading Madonna tribute artist.

Tasha Leaper will be at the theatre on Saturday, November 23, to perform a catalogue of the American icon’s hits throughout the decades. Joined by two backing dancers, Tasha is hoping to have everyone dancing during the show, which starts at 8.15pm. She began her career as a professional dancer and worked at various high-profile events supporting the likes of Take That, before she began impersonating Madonna 13 years ago.

She said: “I start with her songs from about 2005 in the first half, such as Music and Ray of Light, through to Vogue and Express Yourself, and then I work backwards to all the favourites of the 80s in the second half.

“People will recognise all her famous dance routines and iconic costumes and I hope that everyone will get up and dance. I’ve been doing it for such a long time, but I still get a buzz from performing her songs.”

Tickets are £14.50.

Tasha’s performance will round off a busy week at the Hall, with a popular film on the big screen and a piano bar open for business.

On Thursday, November 21, British film Fisherman’s Friends, starring Daniel Mays and Tuppence Middleton will be shown at 2pm.
It tells the true story of 10 fishermen from Cornwall who are signed by Universal Records and achieve a top ten hit with their debut album of sea shanties.

And popular entertainer Ian Sainsbury returns for his last pop-up piano bar of the year on Friday, November 22, at 7.30pm.
Audiences can relax and enjoy a glass of wine from the Hall’s bar while listening to his wide repertoire and witty banter. Requests welcome.

Looking ahead, Christmas Brass with Great Yarmouth Brass will get the festive season at Beccles Public Hall underway with a concert of festive favourites for all the family on Friday, December 13.

To book, pop into the box office, Monday to Saturday, between 10am and 3pm, or call 01502 770060 between these times.
