LAST NIGHT OF THE PROMS
WITH SOUTH NORFOLK YOUTH SYMPHONIC BAND
AND THE BAND OF THE R.E.M.E.

Missed “The Last Night of the Proms” at the Royal Albert Hall?

Fortunately you are in luck, The South Norfolk Youth Symphonic Band (S.N.Y.S.B.) are performing their “Last Night of the Proms” in conjunction with The Band of the Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers (R.E.M.E.) at the King’s Centre, King Street, Norwich on 26th September 2009.

The repertoire will include many of the usual Proms favourites and other music from Musicals and the Shows. This promises to be an evening of enjoyable musical entertainment provided by talented professional musicians from R.E.M.E. and youth musicians from Norfolk, in the tradition of the S.N.Y.S.B.’s Motto “Music is Fun”.

The Corps of the R.E.M.E. will be conducted by Warrant Officer Class One (Bandmaster) Neil Skipper Pmus(Hons) ALCM.CAmus. First formed in 1946, the band now offers a diverse range of musical ensembles and has extensively toured countries such as the U.S.A., Canada, Germany, Bosnia, Italy, Cyprus and more. The members of S.N.Y.S.B. will be conducted by Mr Mike Booty, Musical Director.

Performance begins at 7.30 pm, there will be a short interval during the Proms where refreshments will be available to purchase. A Raffle and Tombola will be held during the evening, all funds raised will benefit S.N.Y.S.B.

Tickets for this evening of first class entertainment on Saturday 26th September, commencing at 7.30 pm are £8.00 for Adults and under 16’s go free
