Lee Evans Lowestoft marina theatre The Marina Theatre is delighted to confirm that top comedian Lee Evans will return to Lowestoft with a special Work In Progress performance on June 3rd 2014, with tickets on sale this Sunday.

In a unique opportunity, Lowestoft audiences will be able to join record-breaking Lee Evans for this very special show where he will be trying out brand new material for his forthcoming Monsters Arena Tour.

The Marina will be opening its box office this Sunday (27 April) at 10am and tickets will be available to personal callers at the venue only, limited to two per person.

A spokesperson for the Marina said, “Lee Evans is a hugely popular entertainer and we are extremely honoured to be given the opportunity to host his forthcoming Work In Progress event. He will be trying brand new material for his forthcoming Monsters arena tour and demand for tickets will undoubtedly outstrip supply. Therefore in order to be as fair as possible to local people, we will be opening our box office especially on Sunday morning, and seats will be sold strictly on a first come first served basis and will not be available to purchase by telephone or online.”

As in previous visits, the show is an opportunity for Lee to try out new material, he will therefore be referring to notes. The last time the Marina hosted the comedian, those eager to obtain tickets queued throughout the night.

News of Lee Evans visit comes just a few weeks after the venue announced Comedian Jimmy Carr is to perform an extra late night performance on July 19, after tickets for his show sold out in record time. The Marina recently hosted sell-out performances with Jon Richardson and Jason Manford. Host of Channel 4’s Stand Up For The week, Paul Chowdhry will appear in September, the Theatre also welcomes Iranian actor and comedian Omid Djalili, the hugely popular Jimeoin and Radio 4’s Mark Steel in October and Marcus Brigstocke will be on stage in November.
