A brave Bungay mum is marking a milestone birthday with a leap into the unknown – in a bid to raise money for charities close to her heart.

Mother-of-two Mandie Remblance is set to mark her 40th birthday with a sponsored tandem skydive from Ellough Airfield – a challenge that will also help boost funds for Big C and Dementia UK.

“It’s one of those things I’ve always wanted to do and I’m really excited,” said Mrs Remblance, a funeral arranger at Rosedale Funeral Home in Bungay.

“The two charities I’m supporting are very personal – we lost my Nan to cancer in 2010 and now my granddad is suffering from dementia, a cruel disease that affects so many families.“

Rosedale’s Anne Beckett-Allen said that they were delighted to support Mandie:

“Life is for living and it’s fantastic that Mandie is marking her 40th birthday with such a thrilling challenge – support two very worthwhile causes at the same time.”

Mandie will complete the jump on Sunday 15 April 2012 – the day before her birthday. Anyone interested in sponsoring Mandie can contact her via Rosedale Funeral Home in Upper Olland Street, Bungay on 01986 892790.

A family-run business, Rosedale Funeral Home supports a wide range of local organisations including All Hallows Hospital, Bungay Library, childhood bereavement charities, Bungay Festival and Beccles Public Hall.
