RAFA Beccles Battle of Britain Parade
and Commemorative Service
20th September 2009

There will be a Military Parade and Service of Remembrance for the Royal Air Force Servicemen and Women who gave their lives to ensure our Freedom from Oppression in 1940.

The Parade will take place at St.Benets Minster, Beccles and commence at 3.00 p.m.

The Salute being taken by Air Cmdr Nicholas Carter.

Standards and the Parade will enter the Church and the Branch Padre Rev.Dom. Antony Sutch will conduct the Service, following which Visitors and Guests will retire to the Church Hall for Refreshments.

The Cadet Band of ATC 469 (Lowestoft) Sqdn will provide the music.

All Members of the Public are cordially invited.

The RAFA Beccles and Southwold Area Branch (1214) covers an area from the Waveney Valley to the Coast and is active in Beccles, Bungay, Halesworth, Southwold, South Lowestoft and adjacent areas.

Should you be ex-RAF or a Family member, we would be pleased to Welcome you to our Monthly Meetings. The Branch meets at the Royal British Legion Club, 25 Ravensmere, Beccles on the 3rd Thursday of the month at 7.30 p.m.
