Glemsford and Thurston libraries are changing their opening hours in September.
Glemsford will be increasing its overall opening times by two hours and Thurston will be open on two days where it is currently closed but open the same number of hours. The new times take affect from Monday 14 September.
Customers at both libraries have been consulted on these changes which are designed to meet local demand and increase use of the library. The changes have been approved by Suffolk Libraries’ Board and Suffolk County Council.

Monday Closed (no change)
Tuesday 10am to 1pm and 2pm to 5pm
(currently 9.30am to 12.30pm and 2pm to 5pm)
Wednesday Closed (no change)
Thursday 10am to 1pm and 2pm to 5pm (currently closed)
Friday 10am to 1pm and 2pm to 5pm
(currently 9.30am to 11.30am and 2.30pm to 5pm)
Saturday Closed (currently open 9.30am to 2pm)
Sunday 11am to 3pm (currently open 11am to 4pm)
This amounts to the library being open for an extra two hours a week which is being covered by a restructure of working patterns.

The library will be open the same number of hours but will now be open on Wednesdays and Fridays.
