The Voice Squad present Theaterchor Niederrhein, from twin town Kevelaer, in a two-night, international choral extravaganza with Newmarket Community Choir, The Aquarius Singers  and The Bethany Barber Choir.

A feel-good family event with popular tunes from musicals such as ‘Wicked’, ‘The Greatest Showman’ and ‘Les Miserables’, chart hits such as ‘Africa’ by Toto, some Joni Mitchell and some contemporary Classical pieces, performed by singers with a wide age-range and variety of styles.

In her 50-plus years in music, Judy Collins has always exhibited impeccable taste in songcraft. On her landmark 1967 album, ‘Wildflowers’, she curated a stunning collection, featuring originals alongside songs by not-yet household names, such as Joni Mitchell and Leonard Cohen, and adventurous selections by Jacques Brel and Francesco Landini.

Her discerning palette, and her literary gifts, have enabled her to evolve into a poetic, storytelling songwriter. Now, in her sixth decade as a singer and songwriter, Judy is experiencing a profound level of growth and prolific creativity.

Lee shot to fame in 2007 on the BBC reality TV show ‘Any Dream Will Do’, beating 10,000 other hopefuls to be crowned as Joseph in Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice’s Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.

Lee has since starred in a wide range of stage productions, including ‘Wicked’, ‘Legally Blonde’, Chicago, ‘Chitty Chitty Bang Bang’ and ‘We Will Rock You’. He has also released several successful albums that showcase his powerful vocals and impressive range.

This production features Lee and his live band playing stunning musical arrangements of selected songs.

Elio and his band are joined by two very special guests… drummer Rhys Clark and guitarist Don Evans, who played on that first solo album, ‘Cold Spring Harbor’, and went on to tour and record with Billy Joel until 1975.

Celebrating the 40th Anniversary of their breakthrough album Working With Fire and Steel by performing the entire album live, featuring songs such as the hits ‘Wishful Thinking’ and ‘Tragedy and Mystery’, and the hauntingly beautiful ‘Here Come a Raincloud’.  Never your run-of-the-mill 80s pop band China Crisis were formed in Liverpool by singer Gary Daly and guitarist Eddie Lundon, who distilled their love of David Bowie and Steely Dan into an exquisitely melancholy post-punk sound that saw chart hits for ‘Wishful Thinking’, ‘Christian’, ‘Black Man Ray’ and ‘King in a Catholic Style’.
