Stefan Gurney, Executive Director of Norwich BID said, “We encourage everyone to come along with family and friends and really get into the festive spirt.  The trail takes in many great sites around the city and showcases some fantastic creative talent from local school children.”

“We would like to thank all the schools, artists and community groups for their enthusiasm and creative spirit for producing these fabulous 12 days of Christmas themed decorations.  Head out and explore the city this Christmas and good luck to everyone taking part in the trail.”

Christmas is a time when people join together and this is a great example of partnership working between schools, local communities and businesses in Norwich.  All the trees have been generously provided by Norfolk Christmas Trees of Great Melton and the trail has been delivered in partnership with Norwich and Norfolk Community Arts (NORCA).

Established in November 2012 the Norwich Business Improvement District (BID) is run for local businesses by local businesses.  It is a simple and tried and tested way of increasing economic prosperity for companies of all sizes through collaboration.  The BID covers a defined area of Norwich where businesses plan how to improve their trading environment, identifying additional projects and services that develop the city centre and trade.

Norwichristmas presents a lively, buzzing heritage city brimming with ‘More to see’, ‘More to do’, ‘More to shop’, ‘More to taste’ and ‘More to experience’ – Norwich really is the Star of the East!

The Norwichristmas campaign brings together retail, leisure and heritage assets that Norwich possesses, enhancing this with its cultural and entertainment offer.

NORCA’s is a registered charity and their work is based on the belief that Arts and Culture transform individuals and the spaces they share, leading to positive personal, social, economic and health impacts.
