BURE VALLEY RAILWAY
SANTA BLOWS HIS WHISTLE

Bure Valley Railway Santa approaches as the sight of the reindeer and sleigh comes into view. However the whistle blowing is the trademark of the Bure Valley Santa Special steam locomotive driving the sleigh arriving at Aylsham station.

Families regularly return to enjoy the festivities at Santa’s Grotto at Aylsham station. The only way to visit is to book the return journey on the Santa locomotive departing at Wroxham station. Each child receives a personalised present. Entertainment provides fun for the children and the adults too. Mulled wine and mince pies, fizzy drinks and Christmas cookies in the Whistlestop all add to Christmas spirit.

The Bure Valley Santa Special runs from the 29th November until and including Christmas Eve at 10.00 13.45 and 17.30.

The fare is £12 for the return journey including the present and refreshments. Special party bookings can also be catered for. Join in the festivities at the Bure Valley Railway. Then when it is all over and you are looking for that extra special something to do after the post Christmas blues, book a Bure Valley Railway mince pie special. Enjoy the Bure Valley Railway festive experience.

Norfolk’s longest fifteen inch gauge line runs between the ancient market town of Aylsham and Wroxham, the ‘Capital of the Norfolk Broads’ with country stations serving the villages of Brampton, Buxton and Coltishall. The 18 mile round trip runs through the picturesque Bure valley countryside following the meandering river through meadowland and ancient pasture stopping occasionally at small country villages. The railway holds a rolling stock of three diesel and five steam locomotives.
