Short films required to show at Norwich Pre Première event for Red Ram Production

Hello,

I’m organising a Pre-Première for my film, Suffolk Samurai, on the 26th March 2010. It’s being held at the Curve, in the Forum (Norwich). The event has free entry and the idea is to showcase the film as well as to give other independent film makers a chance to show their films for free. The event is being funded by City College Norwich.

Currently, I’m looking for some short films to show at the Pre Première event. I’m looking for 3 films approximately 10 minutes long.

I’d love it if the films were made in the local area and if the film makers could come to the event and introduce their work. As the films need to be certificated by the council (which I have been advised to submit a couple of weeks before the event) my final deadline for submissions is the 9th of March (sorry, I realise this is very short notice!).

The film submissions should be sent on a DVD (highest possible quality) to this address:

Anna-Marie Ramm
C/O Jemma Watts
City College Norwich
Ipswich Road

We also require some information about who made the film, perhaps about previous projects and how the group/company came about. Also, we would like some information on the submitted film – perhaps a short synopsis and a bit about the making of the film. Please also include contact details (email address and phone number) and website address.

Here is a short synopsis Suffolk Samurai:
‘The discovery of an ancient samurai sword leads our heroine to a new direction in life after her family comes to a tragic end. Dubbed “Suffolk Samurai” by the locals, she wanders the countryside exploring tangled emotions and desires for revenge.’

The film was shot in Suffolk and has an original music score by a musician based in Norwich. It doesn’t have a budget – actors and actresses were all volunteers and the process of making the film has been based on dedication to the project.

A trailer of my film is shown here:
