Songs From The Great War

Pack Up Your Troubles with Songs of Yesteryear

A delightful evening awaits when Patricia Hammond, dubbed ‘The Canadian Nightingale’, brings a beautiful programme of vintage songs to The Ostrich Inn on Wednesday 18th March at 7.30pm, with support from the arts and community development charity Creative Arts East.

As part of ongoing commemorative WW1 events, ‘Songs From The Great War’ is an uplifting and touching tribute to the music of the time, crammed with the popular melodies which raised the spirits and touched the hearts of our forebears during the First World War.

The show, by two highly acclaimed musicians, also features some wonderful lesser known gems, and is performed in the authentic style of the period.
