Southwold Concert Series 4
The fourth season of the Southwold Concert Series got off to a wonderful start at the end of September with a recital by the Park Quartet, a fantastic ensemble of undergraduates from the Royal College of Music.
Our next event is on Saturday 3rd November 2012, and we are delighted to welcome violinist Anna Cashell and pianist Simon Watterton. Former students from the Yehudi Menuhin School and the Purcell School, this up and coming duo have performed at many of the UK’s most prestigious venues, as well as overseas in China and Ireland, and are building a fantastic reputation.
Their programme contrasts a series of short pieces in very different styles (Handel, Mozart, Elgar, and Malcolm Arnold) with the epic D minor Violin Sonata by Schumann, an impassioned work on a grand scale.
This concert is the first of our afternoon concerts, starting at 3pm. Tickets are available in office hours from our Patrons, Spring, at 4 Church Street in Southwold, 01502 726 161 or [email protected], and then on the door from 2:30pm. Seats are unreserved, so we recommend arriving early to grab a good pew!
As ever, interval drinks and a programme are included in the ticket price of £12.
