She is licensed to carry 15 people, eight of these are passengers, the other seven are experienced crew. We are very keen for passengers to participate as assistants to the crew, or just sit on deck and enjoy the completely unique experience of being at sea on the worlds last Steam Drifter, The Lydia Eva.

The day will include :- Welcome aboard & Safety briefing, location & operation of life- saving equipment, fire extinguishers, hazards and emergency procedures.

For those who wish to participate further, the following experiences are available:-

Short guided tour of the ship, museum and technical sides, A brief insight into fishing pro- cedures etc., Time at the helm, Stoking the boiler, Descriptive talk about the Engine and its systems.

All safety equipment is provided for you, lifebelts etc. Passengers are requested to wear ’non slip’ soled shoes and to bring warm and weather proof clothing suitable for being out in the elements all day.

There are basic toilet facilities on board, Complimentary hot/cold drinks are available throughout the voyage, however alcohol is not allowed on board. You are very welcome to bring a picnic lunch (we strongly advise that you do).

This year most of the day trips will be Starting and ending at South Quay Great Yarmouth.The voyages are 5 to 6 hours duration around the Norfolk & Suffolk Coast.We believe that these trips will be very popular so booking early is recommended.
