Popular local big band, Super Swing, are practising in readiness for the big dance night on the “Lights On” night in Beccles on Friday 28th November 2014 at 8pm when the doors open ready for an 8.30pm start to finish at midnight.

This much anticipated 1940s themed fundraising dance night for the Public Hall has been brought forward this year to coincide with the Beccles Christmas Lights Switch On.

Well loved local singer, Debbie Lambert, member of Waveney Light Opera Group and Company D will be guest singer for this marvellous traditional big band consisting of four trumpets, four trombones, five saxephones, a clarinet and a four-piece rhythm section.

Nigel of Jivebunnies will be DJ for the evening when he’ll take on his 40s persona, DJ The Muffin Man and will entertain you with his amazing vinyl collection of period music.

So get on your dancing shoes and 40s outfits and get ready for a traditional big band dance to round off the year – there will be a prize for the best-dressed couple in vintage attire!
