There’s a musical treat in store for all Abba fans next weekend at Beccles Public Hall.

Abba The Story, will be performed on stage on Saturday, February 1, featuring a catalogue of the Swedish pop group’s biggest hits.

The show will take the audience on a journey of the iconic band’s music and will chart the quartet’s phenomenal career from their 1974 Eurovision win to the present day and the ongoing success of Mamma Mia, which still attracts theatregoers up and down the country.

The show stars seasoned performers Sheena Beckett and Sarah Fearnley as Agnetha and Frida.

Sheena has a string of West End and UK theatre credits to her name, including Evita, Strictly Ballroom, Blood Brothers and the Johnny Cash Roadshow.

She’s also been a backing singer for Girls Aloud and Mark Owen and gave her vocals to the 2018 Eurovision entry Hear The Children Sing, which was co-written by Abba -The Story’s drummer James Elliot Williams.

Sarah, who performed for over a decade with Bjorn Again, is Jason Donovan’s lead singer and accompanies Jason on all UK and international major tours and television appearances.

Her vocals can also be heard on many albums and television adverts for the likes of Diet Coke, Barbie and Magners Cider.

The show will include stunning lighting and a live band – you’ll be wanting to dance in the aisles in no time.

Lesley Cox, Events Co-ordinator at the Hall said: “Abba have such a rich history and it will be really interesting to see how Sheena, Sarah and co bring that journey to the stage.

“The quartet have such a lot of experience in the industry, so we know that the show is going to be extremely professional, really nostalgic and hugely entertaining.

“Everyone knows the music of Abba, so I think it’s going to be one big party.”
