Coming Thursday 22nd April…

Quentin Tarantino’s
Inglourious Basterds (18)
Starring Brad Pitt, Mélanie Laurent and Christoph Waltz

Tarantino’s latest film divided critics, with its graphic, rambling approach to satirising war movies. But Oscar nominations came in for this wonderful black comedy. A young Jewish refugee narrowly escapes with her life after the killing of her family. Several years later she has a chance at revenge when the German top brass attend a movie premiere at the theatre she now runs. Coincidentally the Basterds, a group of Jewish/ American commandos led by Brad Pitt, see their chance to kill many of the German high command. Christoph Waltz’s (Oscar nominated) performance is by itself worth the price of admission. Don’t expect historical accuracy.

Film starts at 8pm
Tickets £4 / students £2
