‘The Six Wives of Henry VIII’

A fast-paced and quirky retelling of The Six Wives of Henry VIII by acclaimed 2-man theatre company Living Spit appears at Metfield Village Hall on Friday 28th February at 7.30pm, with support from the arts and community development charity Creative Arts East.

Two Actors… Too Many Characters… One Big Ego…

Howard Coggins looks like Henry VIII, there’s no escaping that. Stu McLoughlin doesn’t really look like any of the wives, but he’s going to give it a go.

The Six Wives of Henry VIII is full of live original music, embroidery, Barbie dolls, silly songs and historical hysteria. This performance promises to be an ill-researched lesson in Tudor history you’ll never forget!

Recent reviews Include:

“Cleverly written, beautifully acted, and, dare I say it, educational. Both actors perform with bounds of enthusiasm, wit and technical skill; their versatility and range is outstanding.” – Bristol Evening Post

“The best 100 minute comedy show outside of the Edinburgh Fringe. A seamless blend of bluesy songs, wonderful one-liners and a script that constantly surprises. A show that deserves a wider audience.” – Western Daily Press
