‘Listen very carefully…I shall say this only once’

Did you promise yourself to take on a new challenge for 2015? Do you fancy treading the boards in a comedy play? Then listen very carefully as Thetford Players are bringing Jeremy Lloyd and David Croft’s ‘Allo ‘Allo to the stage this Summer and they need you!

Open auditions taking place on Wednesday 11 and Thursday 12 February, 7pm at The Studio, Charles Burrell Centre, Thetford.

The performances take place 25 to 27 June 2015.

Auditionees must be 16 years old or over and can attend one or both nights. The audition will be from a set piece of script available on the first night. Anyone auditioning may also perform something pre-rehearsed of their own choice.

Thetford Players Chairperson, Jo Cooper said “We are delighted to welcome Sheila Welland from Methwold to direct our first full length play. She is looking forward to casting the show not only from our current membership, but we also want to encourage new people to come along and audition, especially men as there are good number of fantastic male roles.”

If you could you see yourself as hapless café owner Rene, or his tone-deaf wife Edith? Or maybe Major-General von Klinkerhoffen or Gestapo officer Herr Flick is more your style? Of course there’s the British Airmen and flirtatious waitresses as well as the other regular characters. Then what are you waiting for? Come along to the auditions where a whole new adventure awaits!
