Time to get Crafty!

If you are looking for something to do with the children over half term, entries are now being taken for this years Art & Craft Show being organised by Girlguiding Beccles District which will be held on Sunday 23d November at the Scout & Guide Hall on Common Lane.

“There have been a few changes from last year’s inaugural event which gave us some great ideas to build on for this year to make it bigger and better. It’s a lot of fun to enter” said event organiser Caroline Carvosso.

There are classes for Children to enter from ages 2-16 and new for this year some Adult Classes for those aged 17+. Children’s Classes include drawing and painting, photography, model making, sewing, baking and Christmas decorations. Adult classes include flower arranging, photography, something I made when I as a kid and cake decorating.

Entry costs £1 per person + 20p per class.
We offer small cash prizes and certificates for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place.

Entries from the public are welcomed, you don’t have to be a current member to take part. The closing date for entry forms is Sunday 16th November at 12 noon.

During the afternoon we will be open to the public from 2-4.30pm and this year we will have a Family Fun Afternoon running alongside including craft tables to make things, face painting, stalls from Phoenix Cards, Pampered Chef and Body Shop, a cake stall, tombola, refreshments and a Silent Auction (real life e-bay!). The money raised from these stalls will be donated back into Guiding in Beccles or to other Good Causes. Admission is 20p on the door (or free if you have entered the Art & Craft Show).
