Plans are afoot at Beccles Public Hall for the very welcome revival of a Young Talent Contest aimed at young people aged 11 – 17 years.
“The contestants have attended the auditions and there will be a very nice mix of young talented singers, dancers and a musician on Saturday 12 May” said Sue Bergin, Hall Director.
“Tom Elgie will host this exciting youth talent contest and he’s really pleased to be teaming up with the Hall again. Tom’s experience with hosting is excellent and we are so pleased he is able to help. Tom has raised many funds for the Hall through his fundraising events and he feels very much at home and with friends” added Sue. There will be some crowd-pleasing favourite songs from Tom.
Ian Sainsbury, local pianist, song writer and choir leader, Agnes Lillis, acclaimed local actress and founder of Yakety Yak Young Actors Company, Mark Reynolds, local cartoonist and and Lizzie Stanley, choregrapher and dancer and Claire Welham of the talented Tigerlilys dance troupe have all accepted invitations to be judges on the evening and the Hall team is ecstatic to have them “on board”.
“They are highly skilled and talented in their individual areas of expertise and we are very fortunate to have such great judges for the show” said James Aggett, General Manager.
