Visit Father Christmas

Visit Father Christmas in his Woodland Yurt at Fairhaven Woodland and Water Garden, South Walsham, on Saturday 15 and Sunday 16 December, from 11am to 5pm . Father Christmas will arrive on both days at 11am on his ride-on lawnmower. The garden will be open from 10am.

Take a stroll through the illuminated winter woodland garden to meet the reindeer and visit Father Christmas tucked away in his yurt among the trees. There will be live music and an Elves’ Workshop with free Christmas crafts and face painting to keep the children busy. Hot food will be on sale in the tearoom.

Normal garden entry applies for adults (£6.85) and concessions (£6.60). It costs £10 per child to visit Father Christmas and receive a present, including garden entry. Booking is essential to visit Father Christmas via www.fairhavengarden.co.uk, or t 01603 270449.

There is also a Christmas Market on 15 and 16 December from 11am to 5pm (free entry) featuring gift ideas and tasty treats from local businesses including Pell & Co, Lemon Tree Fine Foods, Fine Norfolk Provender, Corrin Tulk Art, Heather Richards Ceramics, Fairhaven Rustic Tree Art and Paul Dickson Books. Belvoir Fruit Farms will be present on both days offering samples of their fruit punches, cordials and presses.

Fairhaven Woodland and Water Garden is at South Walsham NR13 6DZ, half way between Norwich and Great Yarmouth, signposted off A47 at B1140 junction.

Fairhaven is open daily all year (closed Christmas Day); open 10am to 4pm from November to the end of February. Free entry to tearoom, gift shop and plant sales.

There is wheelchair access throughout the garden, including a Sensory Garden. Visitors requiring special facilities are advised to telephone in advance, mobility scooters available.

Dogs are welcome on leads; small charge to cover poop scoop.
