Agatha Raisin & The Quiche of Death

The new walking book group at Saxmundham Library got off to a good start with 17 people coming along for the first walk and a chat about ‘Of Mice & Men’ by John Steinbeck.

The aim of the new group is to read a suggested book before the walk and then discuss it with other walkers on the day.

The next walk will take place from Saxmundham Library on Sunday 14 July 2013 at 10am and the new book will be ‘Agatha Raisin & The Quiche of Death’ By M.C.Beaton.

In August the group will be meeting and walking from Parham Airfield Museum and returning to the aircraft hangar for refreshments and a chance to look round. The group will be reading a book connected with World War 2 – ‘La’s Orchestra Saves The World’ by Alexander McCall Smith, which is set in Suffolk in 1939 and follows the story of a local woman who forms an amateur orchestra and recruits a refugee from Poland to play the flute.
