CELEBRATING ITS FIFTH YEAR, THE WAVENEY VALLEY CONKER TOURNAMENT (WVCT) IS BACK AND THIS YEAR, THERE ARE FOUR COMPETITION CATEGORIES:

• Early Bird Old Bangers Last year’s conkers, strung and ready to do battle

(arrive early – limited numbers)

• Juniors Championship For under-12s, the precursor to the main event

• Best Dressed Conker fancy dress

• WVCT Championship The big chestnut

Hosted by Yanny Mac, Bard of Yarmouth Pier.

Match referee: Patrick Lappin, Edinburgh Fringe comedian.

Music from DJ78, with post-event music from Tosh (after 3pm).

Competitors £1, spectators free.

Conkers and string provided on the day.

Trophies for category winners and runners-up. 

All proceeds to Beccles Lido Ltd in their bid to maintain Beccles Public Hall and Theatre.
