Waveney Valley WiRE

Businesswomen in the Waveney Valley will shortly be able to attend a new branch of the friendly local meeting networking group Women in Rural Enterprise, (known as WiRE for short). WiRE Waveney Valley will be part of the nationwide WiRE organisation which is the only national UK organisation solely dedicated to promote, support and help develop rural businesswomen.

Local business owners Gemma Parker, of Humble Cake, and Lisa Jones, Complementary Therapist and Beautician, have been inspired to set up this group for Bungay, Beccles, Halesworth and the surrounding areas. Currently the nearest WiRE groups are Norwich or Woodbridge. Gemma and Lisa have been members of WiRE for some time, and have been enjoyed the benefits of its membership such as meeting other like minded women who are passionate about their businesses. WiRE helps to keep them motivated, forward thinking and inspired to grow their businesses. Enjoying the social side of meeting new friends and listening to interesting speakers also forms part of the monthly get together.

The new group will be launching at the Fisher Theatre in Bungay on Tuesday 4th May from 6:30pm – 8:30pm. The first speaker will be East of England Businesswomen Young Entrepreneur of the Year, Rachel Ducker, from Apparition Marketing and Design. Refreshments will be available.

WiRE is a great value for money way to meet other women in business. Two meetings may be attended as Guests, then you will be required to join WiRE for a very modest annual fee of £40. However if you would like more information on WiRE please visit their website at www.wireuk.org

To register your interest in attending on the 4th May please contact either Lisa on (01986) 788462 or email: [email protected] or Gemma (01986) 893133 email: [email protected]
