The Acclaimed West End Hit Production
An unparalleled story of success and, chillingly, what happens to those left behind. One of the seminal plays of the twentieth century, Top Girls flashes with razor-sharp wit and ingenious theatricality.
Thatcher’s England: hard-nosed, go-getting businesswoman Marlene is hosting a dinner party to celebrate her promotion to MD of the Top Girls Employment Agency. Her guests, all powerful women from myth and history, make for an extraordinary gathering.
Max Stafford-Clark directed the première of Top Girls in 1982. His brand new production was a hugely acclaimed hit in the West End in 2011.
Out of Joint return to the Theatre Royal following recent productions of The Big Fellah, Andersen’s English, Dreams of Violence and Testing the Echo.

Stagefright
Written by Michael Punter, directed by Colin Blumenau, Illusions by Ben Hart, designed by Kerry Bradley
It is 1894 and something is stirring at London’s Lyceum Theatre something terrifying, something breathtaking, something … supernatural.
Sir Henry Irving, the greatest actor of his age, and his manager Bram Stoker, who is soon
to thrill the world with his masterpiece Dracula, find themselves trapped in a dressing room at dead of night. Nor are they alone. The men battle with a rising hysteria as a petrifying presence propels them from an evening of comedy to one of shock and dread.
Colin Blumenau directs the world première of Michael Punter’s new play. Ben Hart, the award winning magician and illusionist, joins the team to create a truly chilling and thrilling spectacle.
