The Bernard Matthews Youth Awards, which are supported by the Eastern Daily Press and The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award, aims to highlight the achievements of inspiring young people in Norfolk and Suffolk, and to reward those rising stars that stand out from the crowd.
It is open to 11-18 year olds and there are nine categories to enter with a £1,000 prize each. The categories are best team, bravery, charity, cultural achiever, community support, educational achievement, environmental, sporting achiever and young farmer and an overall winner.
For the awards to reach those who most deserve the accolades we need people to nominate extra special youngsters or, they can nominate themselves or their friends. The closing date is the 24th November 2008.
