Dear friends and colleagues
“Carers Information Day” Information
Thank you so much for your help in making the Carers Information Day at the Norwich Forum on Monday such a success. Although it’s impossible to give numbers, so many more people came in to achieve the help and assistance offered by 44 organisations.
The event was opened by 2 young carers, Orin and Zoe, both part of Connects and Co, a young carers organisation based in Norwich.
Although Care for Carers has been involved with young carers for some time, we have never organised an event for young carers, or would it be better to say, young people. That being so, if we can achieve the funding for such an event, we would like to organise one at the Norwich Forum next year, during school holidays naturally, date to be fixed.
Would all of you reading this email who are connected with young carers, or you know someone who would like to take part in the event, please email me at [email protected] as soon as possible so I can, “Get the Ball Rolling”.
Also in the near future, we still have the Carers Information Day at the Shrublands in Gorleston on Tuesday, October 6th, to look forward to I have managed to squeeze another 2 table spaces into the halls, but those wanting to take advantage of these will need to bring their own tables.
Light refreshments will be available all day, and even if you’re unable to have a table, come in and do some networking, the world is your oyster at the Shrublands.
Please help us at the Shrublands as you did with the event at the Forum, by letting as many people as possible know about the event, a flyer is attached at the top.
The Shrublands, which is in Magdalen Way, Gorleston, NR31 7BP, (Near the Health Centre) has a regular bus service, “No 8”, which travels between Caister and the James Paget Hospital, and stops outside, plus there is free parking on site.
Chris and I will look forward to seeing you there.
Regards and best wishes
