Anyone needing medical advice or treatment have a range of options available 24 hours a day, seven days a week including Bank Holidays.

Whether it is a medical emergency or a minor ailment, an NHS service is open.

The NHS111 helpline – which replaced NHS Direct – is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. People can call for immediate medical concerns. The 111 phone number is free from mobile phones or landlines.

Many pharmacies are open throughout the May Bank Holidays. Visit www.nhs.uk to find your nearest branch. Pharmacists are on-site to talk through health concerns and advise on treatment.

For urgent medical concerns, patients can visit the Walk-In Centre at Timber Hill Health Centre in Castle Mall, Norwich is open from 7am-9pm, seven days a week, 365 days a year, including public holidays.  

Cromer Minor Injuries Unit, Mill Road, is also open seven days a week from 8am-8pm, including public holidays, 365 days a year. 

In a medical emergency a member of the public should ring 999.
