grief-and-healing

A new bereavement support group is being set up in Beccles to help people cope with the loss of a loved one.

This Thursday, 21 February 2013, sees the launch of an initial run of eight weekly sessions in Beccles’ Quaker Meeting House, from 5.30pm – 7pm.

Led by an experienced counsellor, the sessions will explore how grief can affect people and discuss ways of coping with bereavement.

Sessions are free and have been organised by award-winning, family-run Rosedale Funeral Home.

Grief is the price we pay for loving.  Everyone’s experience of grief is unique and there is no right or wrong way to grieve.  In this group you will find people who care – and understand – what you are going through,” said Rosedale’s Lucy Coote, who stressed that the course of sessions was open to everyone.

“Coping with grief can be a very lonely experience and until now there were no local support groups.  We hope this makes a difference,” she added.
