Events are being held across Norfolk and Suffolk to celebrate the launch of a new NHS Trust, while helping people achieve good wellbeing.

The roadshows, which have been organised by Norfolk and Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust, will be a chance to talk to people in the community about mental health. They are part of a wider programme of events to celebrate the public launch of the Trust, after its inception in January 2012.

The information events, which kick off at Chapelfield shopping centre in Norwich and Tower Ramparts in Ipswich on Saturday 24 March, will promote the Five Ways to Wellbeing as outlined by the NHS Confederation and New Economics Foundation.

Five Ways to Wellbeing invites people to integrate five simple things into everyday life, which evidence shows are fundamental to good mental health:

1. Connect – building connections which will support and enrich your life.

2. Be active – discovering a physical activity that suits your level of mobility and fitness.

3. Take notice – reflecting on your experiences will help you appreciate what matters to you.

4. Keep learning – learning new things will make you more confident as well as being fun.

5. Give – doing something nice for a friend, or a stranger.

The events have been organised in conjunction with Time to Change and the county’s library services in the following locations:

24 March – Chapelfield, Norwich
