Lottery goes Large for Artlink

The Big Lottery Fund has offered a grant £247,434 to support Artlink’s new four year creative programme for people with learning disabilities.

Retiring director Chris Warner said, “This is fantastic news and a real tribute to the team at Artlink who led the bid in these increasingly difficult times. The grant will secure two part time posts and the delivery over four years of JumpstART! which is our new creative programme for people with learning disabilities.”

JumpstART! LOGO will be a modular accredited arts course for people with learning disabilities. It will be delivered in Bury St Edmunds and Lowestoft and will offer students opportunities to take part in a range of creative activities.

Each module will have a different art form focus, will be led by professional artists and will provide public platforms for students’ work through exhibitions and performances.
