Name That Elephant!

Active Norfolk and Norfolk County Council are about to unleash their new Olympic mascot into the County.

We plan to use our Go Elephant, who was designed by Mik Richardson and has been living on St Peters Street in Norwich for the last few months, to raise awareness of our county’s activities in support of the 2012 games at various events around Norfolk.

Our aim is to engage people of all ages to participate in all kinds of sport and physical activity – for the sake of their health and for the purpose of having FUN!

We need you to help us!

What do you think would be the best name for our Elephant?

It has to:

• be easily recognised and remembered by everyone but particularly young people

• appeal to the ‘sporty’ as well as the not-so-sporty

• have an obvious link to the Olympics

• stand the ‘test of time’ and not date too quickly (we have over 3 years until the games!)

Please click here to make your suggestions or choose one of ours!

By submitting your suggestion for the ‘Name that Elephant’ competition, you could be in with a chance to win an invite to the Official Naming Ceremony! So, go on – get naming that elephant!

Many thanks for your input into this exciting new project!
